How our leather clutches measure up:

There are four different leather wallets in the KMM & Co. collection. Each one is crafted to be carried everyday for a lifetime, and thoughtfully designed with pleasing (and practical!) proportions.

• Clutch wallet: 8.5 inches by 4.5 inches, 1-inch gusset

• Envelope clutch: 9 inches by 6 inches

• Leather clutch: 4.75 inches by 8.5 inches

• Wristlet clutch: 8.5 inches by 5.25 inches, with a 5.5-inch wristlet strap

"Loving the Kodiak leather clutch! I have ordered lots of bags from KMM&co. Never been disappointed. I use the clutch to put little things in that I usually just throw in my bag. It also holds my phone. It’s great. I ordered one for myself and one for a friend's birthday. The best part was adding my initials."

How a leather clutch gets made

Though design and details vary across KMM & Co.'s clutch collection, each clutch gets its start at the cutting table. There, we choose a gorgeous side of full-grain leather and carefully cut each piece, considering the grain and color of the leather.

Next, we prepare the clutch for assembly. That means handstitched seams for the clutch wallet, machine-stitched seams for the wristlet clutch, and a simple, solid brass snap closure for the envelope clutch. Each seam is stitched slowly and meticulously, and hardware is set by hand.

Finally, we can double-check the seams and finish the edges of the clutch, making sure that everything looks perfect. Then it's ready for embossing: You can have your wallet hand-stamped with up to four characters, perhaps your initials.

Ask away! FAQs about leather clutches

Which clutch will work best for me?

If you want a clutch with card slots and lots of organization, try the clutch wallet. If you need a strap, go with the wristlet clutch. If you're looking for the simplest and most budget-friendly style, go with the leather clutch. And if you like a one-piece design, opt for the envelope clutch.

How many characters will fit on my clutch?

Each clutch can be stamped with up to 4 characters. That includes letters or numbers, though most people go with their initials. (We recommend first-middle-last order, because all of our letter stamps are the same size.)

Can I have an emoji stamped on my clutch?

We aren't able to use emojis or other symbol stamps on leather clutches. Those work best on heavyweight leathers, like the ones we use to make our leather tags and key fobs.

Which clutches are handstitched, and which are machine-stitched?

The clutch wallet is stitched entirely by hand. The wristlet clutch and the leather clutch are stitched on an industrial sewing machine. The envelope clutch has no stitching!

What kinds of markings can I expect with full-grain leather?

Full-grain leather retains all of its original grain and character, including any imperfections. You might see range marks, grain variations, small spots or scratches, folds, or color variation. They're all a beautiful part of the leather's natural character.
