Natural Canvas Tote
The Natural Canvas tote is a canvas and leather tote handmade in the KMM & Co. studio in Atlanta. Each one is meticulously crafted from heavyweight canvas (which is durable enough to stand up on its own) and gorgeous full-grain leather. Natural Canvas is an undyed cotton canvas, and the natural fibers have some subtle color variation that makes the canvas look slightly speckled. The Natural Canvas tote comes standard with Russet handles.

The canvas tote and mini tote — designs based on KMM & Co.'s two best-selling signature leather totes — are handmade of heavyweight canvas and full-grain leather. That means they feature the highest quality leather made, and we stock more (and brighter!) colors than just about anyone else.

Your canvas tote or mini tote will be made to order just for you, so it might as well be customized! You can pick the length and color of the handles, and add custom features like a snap closure or a crossbody strap. We want your tote to be perfect for you!
3. Custom-length handles
There's no single handle length that's right for everybody (or every tote). We make a range of drop lengths so you can get a perfect fit, whether you're ordering a tote or a mini tote! Each handle is cut of belting-weight leather and has its edges beveled for decades of comfortable carrying. You can even customize the color of your bag's handles: We offer more than a dozen different options!
4. Traditional, solid copper rivets
Once the handles go on with traditional copper rivets, they're not budging! We take the extra time to set our rivets smooth side out, so they won't snag even the most delicate cardigan. No shortcuts!
5. Versatile interior organization
A KMM & Co. tote is thoughtfully designed to keep your essentials close at hand. One side of the canvas tote or mini tote features a canvas interior pocket, and the other is fitted with a sturdy leather strap for your sunglasses or keys.

Like every KMM & Co. accessory, a canvas tote or mini tote is handmade and made to order. (No warehouses, no factories, just a small studio in downtown Atlanta!) Each tote or mini tote takes up to 3 weeks for us to make and ship — but it's worth the wait, we promise!

How the canvas tote and mini tote get made
Just like our signature leather totes, each canvas tote is handmade in the USA (at the KMM & Co studio in Atlanta)! The process begins at the cutting table, where we your tote by hand out of a single piece of cotton canvas.
Next, we serge the edges of that canvas to make sure it can't unravel, and we hem the top edge of the bag with a tonal topstitch for a polished finish. Then, we stitch the seams that form the body of the bag, backstitching meticulously to make sure everything is locked into place.
Meanwhile, we also prepare the handles for your bag in the color and length of your choice. We cut and bevel the handles, using full-grain, belting-weight leather. Finally, we hand-set copper rivets to form the gusset of the bag, and use more rivets to attach the handles and the interior canvas pocket and leather sunglasses strap.
Each of our canvas and leather totes is made to be indestructible, and for the entire life of the bag, we'll gladly repair it in the unlikely event that something goes wrong with the materials or craftsmanship.

How much does a KMM & Co. tote or mini tote hold?
The canvas tote is the perfect bag for work, school, the weekend, and beyond. It can comfortably fit a 13-inch MacBook, a book, a notebook, snacks, a water bottle, a large wallet, zip pouches, a makeup bag – just about anything you carry everyday. The canvas mini tote is great for days you want to travel a little lighter: It can comfortably carry your tablet, a book, your wallet, your phone, and other essentials — and still have room for snacks!
What handle length will be most comfortable for me?
The drop length that's best for you depends on personal preference and body type. We recommend measuring the handles on a bag you already own (and messaging us!) if you're unsure. 7-inch handles are the most popular for the tote, followed by 10-inch handles. 5-inch handles are standard for carrying a mini tote by hand, while longer drop lengths are suited for carrying the bag on your shoulder.
What kind of markings should I expect with full-grain leather?
Full-grain leather retains all of its original grain and character, including any imperfections. You might see range marks, grain variations, small spots or scratches, folds, or color variation. They're all a beautiful part of the leather's natural character.
